Terrace House
We fully refurbished this Kensington 6 storey property to create a luxurious 6 double bedrooms, 4 bathroom family home. As well as a complete interior renovation, we added a two-storey rear extension covering the basement and ground floor and small first and second floor rear extensions. The new layout creates free flowing spaces bringing more light into the building while the ground floor extension integrates the kitchen and family room with the re-landscaped garden.
Although all of the rear extensions were quite small, as the property is in the conservation area, there were several difficult planning issues which were successfully resolved with the use of traditional materials, Victorian style cast iron railings and traditional timber windows and doors.
The radical internal remodelling at basement and ground floor levels have completely transformed those areas of the house from being dark and claustrophobic into a light and spacious environment while the first and second floor extensions created a new office and gym respectively.
