Community

We have worked on a wide range of community, sports, and education projects. Schemes have included new build and refurbishment projects and have involved working very closely with clients and the wider community to develop the brief and deliver the project.

Community and sports projects have also involved working closely with funding organisations such as the Communities and Heritage Lottery Funds and Sport England to ensure compliance with design and funding requirements.

Our Projects

Bezu

Bezu is a private gym and wellness centre where we carried out a full refurbishment and extension. The building now features floor-to-ceiling windows in all studios, filling the spaces with natural light. An industrial feature staircase provides access to the well-being studio, a custom-made bungee rig X Space studio, a ground-floor workout studio with weightlifting facilities, and a therapy suite equipped with two-stage air filtration.

Ursuline High School Wimbledon

The Ursuline School is a voluntary aided secondary school serving the Catholic community as well as other denominations. St Angela’s Arts Block building was originally built in the 1950’s and needed updating and refitting across its three storeys. We reconfigured and extended this arts building, and designed and repositioned the entrance and lobby area to a more prominent position.

The school was one of the first schools to create a new purpose-built building to provide the new T Level curriculum. Our design for the new ‘Technology Block’ was done in two phases. The first phase involved the construction of a single level building with three teaching rooms but with the possibility to extend. With the course being so successful, a year later the second phase occurred, and our designs came to reality with the first-floor extension. The final design internally and externally makes use of brightly coloured features to inspire the students.

Cobham Rugby Club

We have designed a number of buildings for local sports clubs. Funding obligations have meant that the buildings have all been designed the Sport England, Rugby Football Union, English Cricket Board or Football Foundation requirements.

Cobham Rugby Club is a new two-storey clubhouse, with a bar and changing rooms on the ground floor and a function room, viewing balcony and commercial kitchen on the 1st floor.
