Hawks House
Hawks House project involved a full refurbishment of a family home to create a 5 bedroom house with a large master suite and a partially open plan ground floor with kitchen/dining area, sitting room and living room all interconnected with pocket Crittall style doors. This free-flowing arrangement was achieved with a small single storey extension at the rear. To integrate with the style of the house the rear elevation was completely redesigned.
The clients wanted a simple and functional internal layout and with a small 15m2 extension we were able to connect all the ground floor living spaces. These are separated with Crittal style pocket doors enabling visual connectivity but also separation if and when required. The first floor layout was significantly altered to provide 5 large double bedrooms, three ensuite bathrooms and a generous family bathroom. These have been designed to a high specification and are precisely detailed.
The spacious naturally lit first floor landing has a new large electrically operated rooflight above which floods it with natural light but also acts as a vent on hot summer days cooling the house naturally. The clients requested as much storage as possible and we were able to integrate new storge cupboards on the landing.
